Well, we finally got around to taking photos of a design project from a while back! This client is a good friend of mine. He called me and was interested in making some updates to his bachelor pad. We selected new paint colors for the entire house, updated furniture, lighting, pillows, and bedding. We added modern elements and clean lines, while incorporating some existing antiques and artwork. Take a look… I should also note, as soon as we finished up with this project, our client met the woman of his dreams and they were recently married! The room below used to be a formal dining room that was rarely used. We created a sitting area/music room. The corner cabinet was a basic white cabinet from Pottery Barn. By adding mirrors to the shelves and changing the hardware, we completely updated the look of this piece. Helen has been a client of Isabella for 8 years and has also become a dear friend. She has the best sense of style and her home is one of our favorites. She has decorated her home all on her own without the help of a designer, which is surprising because it’s absolutely magazine worthy! Helen was gracious enough to invite us into her home and let us take pictures for our blog to share with you. She’s purchased a number of items from Isabella; we’ll be sure to point out which ones! As you enter her home, a beautiful grasscloth entry is there to greet you. We love all of the black doors throughout her home. Off of the entry is a cozy den in high gloss black with orange accents. Helen purchased the coffee table base and the end tables in this room from Isabella. The dark, moody walls continue into the dining room. We are SO excited to share with you our first home tour. Last week we visited and took photos of a client’s completed bedroom that we helped design. While at the home, we asked if we could take more pictures of her home because all of the rooms were just so fantastic! Let’s go ahead and jump in! When you first walk in, you are greeted by a beautiful soft blue/neutral dining room to the left: And a wonderful piano room to the right: Jennifer, the homeowner, created the silhouettes of her children by hand! She is so talented (and you’ll see more of her art as we show more of the rooms). I think this was our favorite room (besides the bedroom we helped with of course.) It’s so eclectic and has that wonderful “collected” look we go crazy for. Can’t you just imagine sipping your coffee and sitting by a warm fire on the chaise? Yup, we’re officially ready for fall.
