It’s amazing what a little paint can do to affect the mood of a room, don’t you agree? When it comes to painting, it’s important to first establish the aesthetic you want to create for your space, and this is especially true when it comes to bedrooms. Since most people spend at least 8 hours in their bedroom per day on average, you want to make sure that it’s a space that you feel comfortable and relaxed in, and what color you choose for your walls has a lot to do with that! There are so many routes to go when choosing a bedroom color scheme, so we’re here to give some examples of a few of our favorite bedroom hues that work with any style! Take a look:
Whites & Light Grays
Feelings associated: Clean, Light, Relaxing, Fresh
These are common wall color choices that are a great backdrop for any type of decor. Make sure to test these hues on the wall before committing to a whole room, as lighter colors like these are especially affected by light and other items in your room.
Blues & Greens:
Feelings associated: Calmness and Tranquility
These soothing colors are perfect for a relaxing bedroom, both in light and dark hues.
Charcoals & Blacks:
Feelings associated: Drama, Elegance, Sensuality, Sophistication
Dark colors such as black and charcoal gray can provide a sense of sensuality and relaxation in a room. If you like the idea of bold hues like these, but may not want to commit to a whole room, try painting the wall your bed is on as an accent wall in a dark color for added drama.
