If you are familiar with Isabella, you know that we specialize in helping you create the perfect bedroom. Isabella started yes ago as a specialty fine linen shop and has since evolved from there. We now provide items and design assistance for all rooms in the home, but bedrooms are still our favorite!
We often get many questions about bedrooms – How do you make the perfect bed? Should your nightstands and bed match? How big should the bedside lamps be? To help answer these questions (and more), we are sharing our favorite bedrooms here on Isabella Studio and explaining what we love about them!
First up is this beautiful bedroom recently featured on Domaine and designed by Marcel DesRochers and daughter Alison Hersel. This is the perfect example of a simple, yet visually interesting bedroom, and we adore it!
What we love about this bedroom is..
– It has the perfect eclectic mix! We love the feminine tufted headboard and ruffled linens mixed with the contemporary and funky nightstands.
– And speaking of the nightstands – We love the unexpected pop of color. Sometimes the best elements in design are unexpected pieces in a simple space like these cobalt blue nightstands.
– Although we often use (and love!) bold pattern, the use of subtle patterns in this space is perfect. We love the soft stripe on the blanket at the end of the bed and the subtle pattern on the bench; it helps create a calming master bedroom.
– Well made solid window treatments always work. We often use solid drapery in our bedroom designs; they are so classic and versatile! The oyster color of these draperies is spot on.
