May Flowers

May Flowers

We hope your spring is bringing you a little cheer despite the recent world happenings. We’re happy to announce our shop is re-opening this week (YAY!) with a modified schedule and many safety precautions in place to look out for your wellbeing. Our star jasmine is in full bloom so stop and smell the jasmine and come on in to shop (we’ll be open M-W-F, 11 am-3 pm). Curbside pick-up and online shopping is always available as well.

Spring is a time of renewal and we’ve been thinking of ways to inspire you to renew and refresh your living spaces and your spirits. We’ve been working hard to stay connected via our social sites so be sure to follow along on Instagram for all the latest. We discovered some fun ideas recently for re-purposing our pretty candle containers as vessels for flowers + plants. Such a fabulous way to refresh your interior with a boost of beautiful.

Of course we adore Boy Smells’ candles in their original state (in our shop and in our homes) …

…but once you’ve burnt the wick away, we think this fresh + fun idea to convert the candle to a flower vase is brilliant. Of course, we had to create one for ourselves …

And check-out these up-cycled candles-turned-planters from Le Feu de Leau

We always love these pretty ombre wax holders, but we’re seriously crushing on this fresh idea. We can’t wait to plant some succulents in these colorful containers. (Don’t forget, you can shop from home for our candles on shopify).

We’ve also been busy planting flowers in our gardens and planters, decorating our indoor + outdoor living spaces with fresh-cut beauties, like this arrangement styled in Erin’s backyard garden …

(you can purchase this cool cane jar right here.)

… and we’re diffusing floral aromas to bring in the good juju (like this yummy lavender + lime blossom antica farmacista diffuser) …

We’re also bringing that spring fresh feeling into our interiors by adding abstract art with floral hints + hues, like this art by Laura Park in Robin’s home …

… and this sweetly styled vignette in Mara’s home, featuring art by Wink Wink Studio

Art is such an excellent way to refresh your space. We can’t get enough of our favorite artists (be sure to catch our Artist Spotlight blog feature to meet them … we promise, you’ll be inspired). We especially love this interior enhanced with art by Suzy Lindow of Wink Wink Studio (interior design by Jess Ebert, Four Story Interiors)…

… and this pretty-in-pastel interior highlighting art by Kristin Endsley

And because we’re wild about blooms, we’re also pumped about all the new offerings now available on our shopify for you, like these practical + pretty floral-print pouches

… and these perfectly patterned hand towels

Not to mention, these charming pillowcases to complete any beautiful bed (check-out this recent post for more on how to make a proper bed).

Nature does it best, but so many artists create such incredible flower-inspired gems. We are currently loving these floral-esque jewels designed by Noble Collective (hand-crafted right here in Charlotte, NC) …

How about you? How are you enhancing your home + style for the season? Remember you can now shop our finds on our shopify to explore all the ways to infuse light-and-fresh into your interior + lifestyle. We’re currently obsessed with this breath-of-fresh-air book because we know we were all born to bloom (wild) …

Do tell! … How are you celebrating spring with flowers? What were you born to do? We love hearing from you, so leave a comment below or swing over to IG and say hi. Happy May to all our loyal customers, clients and new friends! We hope to see you in the shop again, or visit with you virtually, very soon!!!
