We’ve got those July 4th red-white-and-blues. How about you? This classic color palette is both timely (think flags + fireworks!) and timeless. The holiday weekend is almost here, so we wanted to share a slice of Americana + some summer style inspiration. We always love a range of ocean blues with a jolt of vivid red. This living room is one of our studio favorites. We designed this with a statement blue velvet sofa, a pair of skirted linen chairs, and shades of blues in the accents. We love mixing in some aqua in the pillows and paying attention to details like the graphic trim on the ottoman. Keeping the rug interesting but neutral allows the deep blue sofa to really pop. Red tulips add instant contrast and a nod to the patriotic. We may need a trip to the local farmer’s market for a bunch of red blooms for our own cocktail tables. Or, maybe add some striped candles …
