With Fall officially upon us, the time for cozy-ing up our interiors is here and the perfect place to start is the bedroom. Here at ISABELLA, we LOVE a LAYERED bed. How about you? So many of our customers ask our advise on this subject, so here are a few tips for creating that layered look just in time for the chilly evenings and mornings.

THE SIMPLE 1-2-3 of LAYERING a BEAUTIFUL BED:

  1. Add a coverlet or blanket (or both!) on top of your sheets to add warmth and texture. You can choose to go as heavy or light as you like with this layer, depending on your personal preferences. Choose natural linens, cotton comfort or sateen sheen. We have a wide range of colors and styles, from casual to formal; traditional to modern. It’s all about quality + details…and for those, we always have you covered.

2. Layer a duvet on top of the coverlet/blanket for extra coziness. You can pull back the duvet when you don’t need the additional warmth (we like to fold it into thirds and lay it at the foot of the bed). The key here is the insert. It’s all about the FLUFF, so the fluffier the insert the better. Don’t we all want to sleep on a cloud? Who doesn’t love crawling under a big fluffy duvet when the weather is cooler? We can special order an insert that’s just right for you. There are varying weights, some better for cooler temps.

3. Toss a throw at the foot of your bed for one final layer of comfort. Who can resist curling up with a warm, luxe throw?
